Your first visit will consist of a case history and full explanation of the procedure (15-20 mins) prior to the treatment itself that will last approx 45-60 mins. You will be provided with a garment in order to maintain your modesty at all times. Apprehension and nervousness at your first visit are to be expected however these will soon disappear as you realise that the treatment is painless and discreet and that the benefits are many and varied. During the treatment warm filtered water is delivered into the rectum using a gentle pressure. The waste is transported directly into the drainage system in a clean and efficient manner. It is a completely clean and odourless procedure. Repeated filling and emptying of the colon allows water to move further around the colon so that much more of the colon can benefit from the cleansing effects. The water entering the colon may cause a sensation of ‘butterflies’ or a slight feeling of pressure in the abdomen. These feelings are relieved as the water begins to leave the rectum. The therapist will perform a special abdominal massage during the procedure. The massage helps the release of faecal matter. Clients often find the massage to be deeply relaxing.
